Your visit to Seward is not complete without a visit to the Alaska Sea Life Center. You can either take a self guided tour or participate in one of several behind the scenes tours offered by the center. Children love to watch Woody as he swims in the sea lion display. The center has a variety of hands on displays that your children will love (adults love them too).
Exit Glacier is located about 10 miles outside of Seward. Exit Glacier is an excellent way to get up close to a glacier. Either take a self guided hike or a ranger led hike to the toe of the glacier or the overlook trail. More adventurous hikers can venture to the Harding Ice Field.
Other activities include tours of Iditarod Mushers dog kennels, kayaking, helicopter and fixed wing flightseeing, hiking trails, climb to the top of Mt. Marathon, or go biking. Whatever your interest you can probably find it in Seward.
